Andrea Anders

Anders was born in Madison and grew up in DeForest. She currently lives in Los Angeles. She earned a diploma from DeForest Area High in DeForest in 1993. Then, in 1997 she earned a bachelor's diploma in fine arts at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. In 2001, she earned the title of Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. From 2006 until 2015, Anders and her former Joey co-star Matt LeBlanc, who met on set of the show that was cancelled, dated. Anders' brother is director Sean Anders (Sex Drive, Never Been Thawed). Anders began her career in theatre in 2001. Anders was the understudy of Mary Louise Parker for the Broadway production Proof. She also appeared as Elaine Robinson later in The Graduate. On the Jump was her first appearance at The Arena Stage. New Doors was held at the Guthrie Theater. There were two New York Stage & Film productions, namely Cold/Tender & New World Rhapsody were also staged by New York Stage & Film. Anders started in the month of May at her first Geffen Playhouse production of Fat Pig. She was the character Jeannie the accountant. Fat Pig closed on July 1, 2007. One of Anders' first appearances on TV was a commercial for Dannon which ran in the early 1990s before returning around 2006. Anders is most notable because of her roles on Joey (as lawyer Alex Garrett) and The Class as Nicole Allen (nee Campbell) who was the ex-wife of a football player. The two series ended up being cancelled despite her appearance in each episode. Anders made guest appearances in One Life to Live as well as Law & Order and Tru Calling. The actress was in five episodes of HBO the drama Oz as Donna Degenhart in 2003, as well as a brief appearance in the film The Stepford Wives, playing her character Heather in the film, as well as in the 2008 movie Sex Drive as Brandy.
