Kyra Miniturn Sedgwick is a popular American television and film actor for a long time. Her character as main character on the TV show , 'The Closer which is a hit all over the world as well as in America specifically. Sedgwick's passion for art, Broadway and acting began when she was 12 years old. Her mother was very interested in Broadway and was able to introduce it to her. It was at the age of 16 Sedgwick was offered her first acting job professionally in the TV show 'Another World'. She went on to do small time roles in the TV, but it was the thought of becoming a big actor that enticed her. She got noticed on the big-screen for the first time in her supporting role in the film 'Born On July 4th' where she co-starred alongside Tom Cruise. Sedgwick had more roles in movies following the popularity of this film, such as: "Singles", "Heart and Souls", and "Phenomenon". When she was just 22 years old, she married the actor Kevin Bacon after working in a TV series called Lemon Sky. Sedgwick's effortless performances in the seven-season series 'The Closer" earned her numerous awards and accolades, including an Emmy as well as a Golden Globe.
